Landscape is my subject. In my earlier iteration as an artist, I painted and printed images of people—lots of portraits and even more self-portraits. But now I am an artist who cannot get enough of my habitat. Where I live in the Northwest, there is no avoiding astonishing beauty. I bring back photographs and reflections from experiences in these holy places, and then I try to get out of the way while their stories break out through my hands and my tools.
